How safe is Captain Dhoni
While terrorist attack is increasing day by day, but VVIP's security is still have lots of laps. There is finger on Indian cricket captain Mahender Singh Dhoni's security too. As Dhoni too dosn't want tomuch security, but chief minister of Jharkhand Shibu Soren asked State Police chief DGP V.D.Ram to tighten the security of Dhoni. CM also given order that replace security personal with another team of armed men and if required, provide him commandos too.
Soren's direction came in the wake of Dhoni's going to the Birsa Munda airport in Ranchi on Thursday without any `armed men' to board a flight to Chennai to participate in the selection committee meeting for the two-Test series against England. Jharkhand police official claimed that Dhoni had been given Z class security and he was rather unhappy over too many policemen guarding him. but Dhoni's former coach Chanchhal Bhattacharya, however, claimed the Z category security was provided to Dhoni is just on paper, not in practice. We cannot claim that our Captain is safe. As The Jharkhand government last year announced the Z class security for the dashing wicketkeeper following media reports that he might face threats from the naxals.

Tour to Pakistan???? why
Again Pakistan Cricket Board is doing all its efforts for calling Indian team to Pak, but at present situation, no one in India is ready for Pakistan tour. After terrorist attack at Mumbai, Indian government will not give green signal to Indian team at any coast. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has urged India to go ahead with its tour of Pakistan next year, saying that canceling the series would be disastrous for the game in the sub-continent. but ACC chief executive Syed Ashraful Haque also said the council wants to see India touring Pakistan but admitted that it can't get involved in the issue as it was a matter between the two governments. ACC is helpless as matter is not in hands of cricket boards; it is to be decided by both governments. As far as we know, both boards are willing to play the series, Haque said. but Indian people is not ready for any cost st present situation.

Extra Spinner for 3rd ODI?
Yuvraj Singh smashed back-to-back centuries to help India take a 2-0 lead after the first two matches in the seven-match ODI series against England on Monday. While England's bowlers had no answer to Yuvraj's brilliance, their batsmen came a cropper in both matches against the Indian bowlers.
With India sitting pretty, and the Kanpur pitch, the venue for the third ODI, expected to assist spinners, should Pragyan Ojha replace left-armer R P Singh, who has so far looked quite rusty? Or should India retain the winning combination for Thursday's match and not allow England a chance to stage a comeback?
What should the playing eleven for the third ODI be? Be the selector, pick your eleven.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain), virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Gautam Gambhir, Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Yusuf Pathan, Murali Vijay, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Munaf Patel, Ishant Sharma, R P Singh, Pragyan Ojha.

Quote of the day
'On paper England might not look as strong a team as Australia, but I believe they have a better bowling attack. They have a better bowling unit than Australia for these bowling conditions. Freddie (Andrew Flintoff) is a good bowler and so are the other pacers, Ryan Sidebottom, James Anderson and Stuart Broad.'
---- Harbhajan Singh on England's pace attack.

As far as doping is concerned, about 45 athletes have been randomly tested but the results are expected in about three weeks.

Welcome Hero
Dempo's last chance to create history
Dempo Sports club made history by becoming the first Indian club to make the semi-finals of the AFC Cup, but Dempo have one last chance to take a good shot at a bigger slice of history. The Goan giants take on Lebanese side Safa in the second leg of their AFC Cup semi-final at Gachibowli Stadium, Hyderabad on Tuesday, and coach Armando Colaco admits that their last 1-0 defeat to the Lebanon side will not have any impact on the players.
Amando colaco said, We watched the videos of their matches, they are a good side. We have played them earlier and I know that if the players play to their potential then we will definitely win the match, For all practical purposes, Dempo have a fair shot at going one step further, as playing the home leg second has always been an advantage in home-and-away formats.
The players are gearing up for the match tomorrow and they just want to prove a point. They are focused and if score an early goal then we have a chance to make it to the finals. Though we lost the first leg but the players are not demoralized, Colaco added. Injury is a cause of concern for Dempo coach as striker Ranty Martins and mid-fielder Roberto Mendes Silva are likely to take the field as substitute.
Dempos line up seems to be a strong one with India defender Mahesh Gawli leads a well-knit back-four that includes the impressive Samir Naik, while left-winger Nicolau Borges is one of the most exciting players in the I-League. With a defeat in back of his mind Armando Colaco says that there will be a few changes as far as their strategy and formation goes.

Selectors given chance to Ganguly?
Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly announced his retirement few days after National selectors choosen him for first two test against Australian team touring India. I think before announcement of Indian Team, Ganguly's confidence of coming back to team, shows that he had a close room talk with selectors. in which he promised to selectors that he will announce his retirement in cuurene series. You can also imagine that few days ago newely Indian selction teams chairman K. Srikanta given him a comeback and few days after team announcement he is saying that Ganguly had made the right decision. what is this? that means they had finalised with Ganguly, that he will announce his retirement soon. Intresting thing is that Indian team is announced only for first two test of four test series, while Ganguly is saying that he would retire end of the series. that means he is also insured for last two test of the series also.

BROWN TARGETS TO EASE MERIT PRESSURE
New Delhi, October 4: New Zealander Mark Brown, currently leading the race to be Asia's number one, will tee it up at the Hero Honda India Open in the same mind set as last year but with a far loftier goal in mind. Twelve months ago, Brown was looking to make enough cash to keep his card while now he is aiming to cement his place at the top of the Asian Tour's Order of Merit. Brown finished a creditable joint fifth in the event last year at Delhi Golf Club - a prelude to the stunning displays earlier this year that saw him win the SAIL Open and Johnnie Walker Classic back-to-back. Those successes in India represented a huge reversal of fortune for the 33-year-old Kiwi. He struggled to make an impression during his early days as a professional and put his playing career on hold to teach golf to kids from 2003 to 2006. All the practice and enthusiasm as a teacher inspired him to get back to competitive golf and he found his way to the Asian Tour via Qualifying School. His second stint as a touring pro was not going that well either as he came into last year's Barclays Singapore Open. "I knew that if I made the cut at the Barclays Singapore Open, I would keep my card." recalled Brown. Brown picked up just under US$90,000 for his equal eighth place in Singapore and eventually finished a comfortable 15th in the Order of Merit.

Nine past champions to tee off at Hero Honda Indian Open
NEW DELHI, October 3: The Hero Honda Indian Open 2008 will witness the best ever draw in the tournament's history with nine past champions including the winners of the last six editions of the tournament looking to draw blood again at the 45th edition of the tournament. The tournament will be played at the par-72 Delhi Golf Club from October 9 to 12, 2008 with the pro-am teeing off proceedings on October 8. India's most prestigious golfing event will for the first ever time, offer USD One Million in prize money. The winner's cheque will be worth USD 158,500, while the runner-up will get to take home USD 108,500. The list of winners of the Indian Open competing this year includes Jyoti Randhawa (2000, 2006 & 2007), Thaworn Wiratchant, Thailand (2005), Mardan Mamat, Singapore (2004), Mike Cunning, USA (2003) and Vijay Kumar (2002). In addition there will be Ali Sher (1991 & 1993) and Feroz Ali (1998) looking to relive their glory days. From a global perspective two competitors are ranked in the top-100 in the world namely Jeev Milkha Singh, currently ranked 58th and Mark Brown ranked 81st. In addition, PGA Tour regular Daniel Chopra considered the biggest attraction this week, is sitting on the bubble at 101st place. Mark Brown, who leads the Order of Merit courtesy back-to-back wins at the SAIL Open and the Johnnie Walker Classic earlier this year, will be keen to extend his honeymoon with India. Both the Kiwi's triumphs came on Indian soil and more importantly in the National Capital Region.
Suresh Rana leads in Raid-de-Himalaya finishes the first leg
Manali, October 3: The 10th Maruti Suzuki Raid de Himalaya 2008 was flagged off by the Hon Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh amidst a lively gathering of motorsport enthusiasts from all over the country. An early start on the 2nd October 2008 to the Parc Ferme at Gumma turned out to be a not so easy affair for both Raju Verma and Khushwant Randhawa. Both failed to make the first step of the Raid this year and were out before the event had even started. Similarly bikers Ganesh Pakhe and friend also went down the wrong road getting hopelessly lost in the first hour itself. They too handed in their time cards. The first competitive stage between Kiari and Umladwar proved challenging. Though exceedingly short by Raid standards the stage caught several drivers on the wrong foot. Col Rajesh Vaid from Team Army Adventure skidded off wet grass on a tight left hander and down the side of a small drop. Fortunate to be caught by a tree Col Vaid was able to walk out unharmed. Sunny Sidhu of Team Godwin blasted through the stage but fell victim to head gasket failure when his knee accidentally hit a dash mounted switch and disconnected an additional cooling fan. Dismay writ large over his face he was not willing to quit ....but alas the Raid is not anything if cruel! Sandeep Sharma of Team Thunderbolt fared little better when his car came to a grinding halt after oil sump damage caused a turbo to seize up and killed his hopes for 2008! Rana drove smoothly to a first place on Day 1 itself. The charge of the bike brigade is on. Ashish Moudghil was beaten by a minute and the man that relegated him to second spot none other than Bhaskar Ramani of Red Rooster Racing Bangalore. Team Ceat's Klaudia Honeder though looking strong on stage 1 eventually fell into 11th place. Karanbir Bedi of Team Overdrive Honda was in a relatively modest 10th spot whereas team mate Pankaj Trivedi in 24th place was hardly likely to attract another sponsor.

JEEV SET FOR HEROES RETURN AT INDIAN OPEN
India's golfing heavyweight Jeev Milkha Singh will return to play in the Hero Honda Indian Open this year riding high on the crest of a wave following another outstanding season. Singh, who finished joint fifth in the British Masters at the weekend to move to number 58 in the world, will attempt to win his country's national Open for the first time when it tees off from October 9 to 12 at Delhi Golf Club. Having been in fine form already this year he will be strongly fancied at this year's tournament which has seen its prize money doubled to US$1million. Other marquee names already confirmed are Daniel Chopra from Sweden and Indian Jyoti Randhawa – winner of the past two Hero Honda Indian Opens. New Zealand's Mark Brown, who has won twice in India this year and leads the Asian Tour Order of Merit list, and last year's number one ranked player Liang Wen-chong from China are also competing. Singh played in the tournament last year finishing in joint 13th position. The result came during a season when he was not at the peak of his powers but this year he is back on track. He won the Bank Austria Open on the European Tour and the Sega Sammy Cup in Japan. The 36 year old is currently ranked number two on the Asian Tour Order of Merit and is placed 10th in Europe. However, it has been his performances in the Majors that have been most eye catching. For the second year in a row he made the cut in the US Masters and finished equal 25th while arguably his finest ever week since turning professional in 1993 came when he placed tied for ninth in the US PGA Championship – where he was the first round leader.

Three layer security to Australian Team
After some terrorist wing’s threat Indian government decided to give three layer security to Australian cricket team touring India. Till now terrorist never given DHAMKI to sports persons, but this time they made question that they can go anyway. Security given to Australian and as well as Indian team in some venues is like this. first lavel of local Police, in second layer Central forces and in thirs NSG. this means not a single cricket fans go close to cricketers. This means a day comes when cricket will played in empty stadium. terrorist should not target games as well as players for there demands. Government should take hard steps against these terrorist acctivities.

Darkest day in tennis
On 30th april 1993, one of the darkest fan-athlete interactions occurred on a Hamburg tennis court. Monica Seles, then the world's No.1 player, was stabbed by a fan during a break in her match with Bulgarian Magdalena Maleeva. Guenter Parche, a 39-year-old unemployed lathe operator, jabbed a 25-cm long knife into Seles' back as she rested mid-match on a courtside seat. The stabbing was prompted by Parche's obsession to have Germany's Steffi Graf regain the No. 1 world ranking. Although Seles recovered from her injuries, Parche was successful at derailing the tennis star's career. She was sidelined for more than two years. Seles won her first comeback tournament – the 1995 Canadian Open – but was never able to achieve the same level of dominance in the sport. What was Parche's penalty? A two-year suspended sentence.

15 years old dhoni was different
Indian cricket captain Mohinder Singh Dhoni got the best ICC oneday player of the year. but this dhoni is far different from the 15 years old. I remembered when at the age of 15 the Bihari boy (now Jharkhandi) came to Armoury ground of Jamshedpur for under 15 Bihar team trial. The thin Ranchi boy was doing keeping back to the wicket and selector Ashish Sinha was watching that 15 year old rachi boy very carefully. When I asked about Dhoni, selector Sinha told, there is cricket talent in this boy. His bat is straight, which is found in very less cricketer in this age. Dhoni was selected to Bihar under 15 team and that time no one imagine that one day this thin boy becaome great cricketer. In the age of 17 years he got chance in Under 19 team and then in very little age Dhoni got place in Ranji cricket team as a wicket keeper. while weeket keeper Saba Karim went to West Bengal from Bihar. after that step by step Dhoni became popular and became ideol of young cricket lovers.

Bolt could be more faster then he is?
Fasttest man on the earth Usain Bolt could have run 100m in 9.52 second, instead of 9.69 second in olympic.???? ya, according to his coach Glen Mills, Bolt took some seconds to celebrates his victory. If he concentrated in his run then time could be more less. Triple Olympic gold medallist and world record holder Usain Bolt was at the start of his 100 career and would peak only in about two years’ time.
Most intresting thing is that Bolt wants to become a cricketer. his bowling runup is very fast. one day his coach comment that u could be better sprinter then a bowler and bolt started his carrer in running.
